Project Summary
The New York Eastside Aikikai (NYEA) is not to be confused by New York Aikikai, founded and headed by Yoshimitsu Yamada-sensei. While NYEA is affiliated with NYA, it supports its own group of students (including myself) with open arms. Compared to other martial arts like taekwondo, muay thai, and Brazilian jijutsu, aikido is fairly unknown.
The new branding aims to differentiate from NYA. Graphic elements and color evoke energy and dynamism.
